Dedicated to the promotion of swing dancing and vintage jazz music in St. Charles, Geneva, and Batavia Illinois

From Sweet Home Chicago, our very own

Shannon Hall, Batavia, IL

Friday, August 14th

Morry Sochat and The Special 20’s are bringing a fresh sound to the Chicago Blues scene. They mix classic Chicago Blues with Swing and Rock N’ Roll from the 1950’s. The band is influenced by the best in blues history. Muddy Waters, Little Walter, Louis Jordan, Junior Wells, and all of the Chicago greats.  We can't wait to hear them heat up Shannon Hall in Batavia!

The Roaring Twenties Party in the Park brings together the music, atmosphere, and fun of a 1920s-era lawn party.  Step back in time with live vintage music, swing dancing, a vintage car exposition and more!  The Roaring Twenties Party in the Park is only one event in ArtFest | St Charles -- Check out all of the other wonderful events going on during the week-long festival from Sept 11-20!

We are proud to announce that Carl Linder have taken over Swing Dancing classes in the Tri-City area!  Our students will now get to move up from a couple of volunteers (Kevin and Michelle) to a real, professional swing dance instructor (Carl Linder).  Check out Carl's bio on his website!  We are also excited that Kevin and Michelle will now be able to move Tri-City Swing forward toward our next milestone- having monthly dances instead of having dances every two or three months!

Check out the details  for the new class format and location on our classes page.

Tri-City Swing is a group dedicated to the promotion of swing dancing and vintage jazz music in St. Charles, Geneva, and Batavia Illinois.  We offer classes on Sundays, dances once a month, and generally get the word out about swing dancing in the Tri-City area.  You might even see us as far afield as Elgin, DeKalb, Aurora, or Naperville!  Join our Facebook group to see what's going on MeetUp with us at a dance event or class, or drop us a line to find out more!
